Hi, my name is Suzanne Alison & I started my self employment journey 10 years ago. I’ve always been a creative person and I set up a jewellery brand called Chasing Beads in 2009. I originally started making and selling beaded jewellery but soon realised I couldn’t compete with China so niched down into personalised jewellery. Whilst building the business I realised I had a love for marketing and decided to invest some more time and training in to Social Media.

Whilst running Chasing Beads, I started helping other small businesses with their social media which led in to my other business SAVA (Suzanne Allison Virtual Assistant) being born in 2016 recently renamed Suzanne Allison Social. For the past 3 years I’ve been lucky enough to get all my clients via word of mouth recommendations. I’ve worked with a variety of businesses from a personalised pet portrait artist to children’s nursery, a private baby scan clinic, a skincare brand and 80s dance act Black Box of ‘Ride on time’ fame.

In 2018 I decided I wanted to offer my clients more, so studied an advanced course in Facebook Ads and trained with one of the leading UK Facebook Marketers graduating in October 2018. Due to the change of direction in my business I have re-brand and this website is the result!

I’ve always had a creative streak but I don’t think I really discovered or embraced it until I was in my early 30’s. I worked for companies that had an interest in music, fashion and travel. What I love the most is that fact I’ve experienced it from both sides; I’ve experienced the trails and tribulations of a maker as well as having the digital marketing training and experience needed to help other like-minded businesses to grow.

Suzanne recently completed an audit of my business social media pages and her advice and suggestions were invaluable. My business is fairly new and so using social media for business purposes is a very daunting and ever-changing part of that. It was incredibly useful to liaise with Suzanne, get her knowledgeable view of what I’ve done so far and some suggestions of how to interact further and continue to develop my online presence. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for support in this area.
